Week 2 - Wednesday:
Today we did lots of work on typography. We started off the day by experimenting with lots of different font types and creating our own unique texts
This picture shows all the different texts that I can up with. My favorites are probably the letters C, B and P. I think that these fonts really stand out on the page as they are eye catching and unusual compared to the letters N and A.
After break we had to pick one of these fonts and complete that alphabet and 0-9 numbers.
I chose to go with Letter C as I really like the style and patterns of the letters. I also added some colour to make each letter and number stand out and look more appealing.
At the end of the day, we had to think of a word or quote that represented how we individually pursue through life and how we would like others to feel. My quote came from one of my favourite films 'Marigold hotel'. It is a very feel good film and always inspires me to take a risk and give things a go.
'Everything will be all right in the end... if it's not all right, then its not the end'.
We then had to encorporate our font into our final design:
I found that today's tasks were quite challenging at first but once I got in to it I started to really enjoy the drawing and aspect of creating a font type.
