Graphics: Faces

Week 2 - Monday

Today was all about drawing faces peoples faces. We had to draw four pictures using different medias and also in an unusual way.

The first drawing we had to complete with our eyes closed.

For the second, we had to use our less dominant hand.

We had to put the pen in our mouth and draw the Third one.

And the last picture had to be completed without taking our pen off the paper and doing one continuous line.

 Although these pictures were good fun to do, I personally do not like these drawing as I do not have a very good technique for drawing faces and it is something I will really have to work on.

After this we had to draw someone else's ear. I quite like this drawing as I like the darkness of the lines and the shading.

These tasks were difficult for me as i haven't done anything like this before. However, I did enjoy the experience and it has highlighted some areas that I really need to work on for the future.

After lunch we then had to create a college using the faces of famous people from magazines and newspapers.

  Once we had completed this, I had to create a view finder to chose a point of the picture to draw.

 I did this picture using just black acrylic paint. I am really pleased with the outcome as I think the fact I only used one colour made an impact of the picture.
